About a month ago I was giving my kids a bath. I always get Hudson out first and then go back and wash Ellie's hair before I get her out. Well on this lovely morning while I was washing Ellie's hair Hudson decided he wasn't done with his bath yet and fell head first back into the bath tub! He was soaked and I think it really scared him! I think he learned his lesson! it was sad, but kind of fun!
Hudson got in the flour! On his birthday while I was wrapping his presents! I know I'm a good mom! I couldn't even get mad at him because he was so happy and it was his birthday! My mom has pictures of me when I was about this same age covered in flour, so I thought it was really cute and funny!
Well we had a little Halloween party and I know I told everyone I wasn't going to post pictures but oops here they are. A couple of years ago we had a halloween party and people voted for the best dressed couple and this year I forgot so I want all of you to vote for who you think the best is! Asian couple, Ron Burgundy & Veronica Stone (from Anchorman), personal trainer and trainee, cop and jailbird, white trash couple, pimp and his worker, Snow White and Zorro, football couple, rocker dude and Sarah Palin, Dog the bounty Hunter & his wife Beth, jailbird and vampiress, Jesse & Woody (from Toy Story 2), doctor and "Squatting Pup". Sorry to some of you because I really didn't get a very good picture of you! Please everyone cast you vote! It'll be fun!
My little Bee and monkey! This year Halloween was actually kind of fun! Ellie actually got it! After each house she would say, "where are we going?" I would say "to the next house" and she would get so excited! Hudson didn't get it but he got a hold of a tootsie pop and was happy he finished the whole thing tootsie roll and all! Ellie got tired of walking so Bryce had to carry her a lot, I tried to tell him we should take the stroller. Ellie even still says "trick-or-treat" whenever I ask her what to say if she wants a treat when I am looking for "please." Too cute!
What a happy boy on his birthday! Lots of toys and lots of family and fun! Thanks to everyone who came and helped us celebrate! Also a big thank you to Uncle Jordan and Aunt Jessica for the help on the awesome melting cake! He, he.
My mom and I went shopping for Hudson birthday and when we were leaving Toys 'R' us we saw this Ice cream truck and my kids loved it! Then we ran into Courtney Callister and her kids and Ellie and Olivia with htere giant bows went for a ride! So fun!
My house is getting there slowly but surely. Bryce now has almost all of the shingling done! We are just hoping to get it all enclosed before the first big snowfall! Wish us luck! Bryce was also showing his bum off to everyone in that one picture and I thought it would be funny to post it!
My brother and his wife got to go on small little vacation and their kids came to stay with us for a few days. My kids loved it, Allie and Kaden kept them so entertained! They can come and stay anytime!
I have new Nephew! Isn't he adorable! This is Baby Argyle (yet to be named because mom hasn't been able to hold him to see what he looks like yet). He was born at 10:05 this morning weighing in at a whopping 8lbs. 10oz. and 21 in long. Proud parents Jory and Emberly Argyle! I know that these sad a yet a little bit funny pictures of him but he is having a hard time breathing on his own so he has to wear this oxygen helmet! Jory calls it his Star Troopers helmet! We Love this not so little baby so much and pray that he will soon be able tobreath without help.
I saw this on my friend Stacey's blog and thought it looked fun! This was Ellie last year about this time! We were out to dinner at Chili's and we thought she might like to try some corn, she LOVED it! We couldn't stop her from eating it and she still eats it 2 to 3 times a week for dinner! She has always just eaten it straight off the cob and used to throw a fit if I would cut it off! Good times!
Yes, she has done it again! Ruined yet another thing in Joan's beautiful home! About 3 weeks ago I was in on the computer and thought Ellie was just being a good girl playing in the playhouse and I came out to find this! Yes she dumped pretty much a whole bottle of Infusium 23 all over the couch and all over Hudson. Luckily my good ol' pal Spot Shot was around to get the mess all cleaned up before Joan noticed! Anyway later that day I took the kids to see Bryce and he was holding Hudson and Said he smelled good so he must have had a bath today. But it was just the nice clean smell of the Infusium. Oh how I love that girl!
No it wasn't hurricane Gustav just crazy winds in Tremonton! Well, as you can see or maybe you cannot see the big bad wind came and blew my house made of sticks down! On Sunday we had just said amen to the closing prayer in church as a large storm rolled into town. Bryce and I were walking home and someone made a joke about our house blowing away, not more than 5 minutes later we got a phone call from a neighbor saying there were walls down off our house! Bryce was so upset him and my dad quickly went and changed and ran over to the house and were met by some more friendly neighbors they braced the walls that had not fallen over yet and then we just sat and waited for the storm to pass. Bryce had just finished putting up all the walls but 2 on Saturday and then 5 got blown off on Sunday! He was not a happy camper until yesterday when another friendly neighbor let us borrow his grade all (sp?) and put the house back together again. so yes all is well again at the Rigby home thanks to all the help from family, friends, and neighbors! It was a very traumatic time considering Bryce has been working so hard but all is well now thank goodness. Now we just need to get a roof on that thing so it won't happen again!
Here it is! My new home! Isn't it lovely! Thanks so much to all of our helpers, (Jay, Jordan, Nick, Brady, and so many more). We have the floor finished and two of the back walls are up! There are two more outside walls that are built but Bryce needs a little more man power to put the walls into place! So when those walls go up we will have two full outside walls to our home, only two more to go!! Today I asked Bryce if we were still looking good for getting the house all enclosed by winter and he said, "yeah," so that is also a good thing too! Anyway we are way excited about this and I hope I don't bore the rest of you with all the updates!
There it is! After months of pushing things back and waiting we finally have started our new home! I am so excited! Things have gone very quickly so far but are soon to slow down quite a bit. It is amazing to see when you are paying to have things done how quickly they get done. after the foundation and excavation Bryce will be doing the rest of the house mostly on his own so it progress will quickly slow down. Thanks to Erik Pearson and David Misrasi for helping things go as quickly as they have so far! I was telling Bryce the other day how exciting it was that we were the first people on our road to break ground and he said, "yeah, but we will probably be the last to finish." Oh well, all I care about is that someday I will have a home, yeah!

I know I look a little stoned, but after looking at all the pictures on the day she was born, this is how I looked in them all. All I can say is that they gave me some good drugs!
The lime green bow. Bryce picked it out and it looked so perfect on her little head! Check out the nose, she is her mother's daughter!
Check out all that hair! I still can't believe it! And that binky it the size of her head but the minute it came out the crying started! She never had the nice newborn cry either, it was always a loud scream! I don't miss that!
The orange headband will always be my favorite! And Ellie in this dress, my favorite! I started looking for pictures to go on here a few weeks back and had to take a break! I was so drained emotionally! The day Ellie was born was the happiest day of my life! All of my dreams came true at that moment! My whole life all I ever wanted was to be a mother! Now that she is 2 I am having second thoughts, just kidding. I love her just as much now, it's just harder! Which makes it all the more worth it! Ellie was a fairly good baby but as mentioned before she had a horrible cry! My friend Trisha used to laugh and say how much she loved Ellie's cry and I would say how much I hated it and she said it was because I had to live with it! Ellie did everything quickly, she rolled over fast, she crawled fast, and started walking way too fast! I used to make a circle with all the furniture in the family room to keep her contained, but she started to get out about the time she turned one and the fun began. She does the cutest things and always makes me laugh. Ellie I love you, thanks for making me the mother I always wanted to become!
My baby Hudson is 6months old today! And while it really is exciting it makes me so sad! I love newborns, everything about them, how small they are, the way they smell, the bond you have with them, the way they sleep through almost anything, etc. and so on. Not that I don't enjoy how they grow and start to interact and play and smile, because I enjoy that too. Newborns are just my favorite, thus the reason I have 2 children only 18 months apart. I am not sure why but at this momentous occasion I find myself so emotional. I don't know if that is because I know it will be a while before I have a newborn again, or if it is because I have just recently stopped nursing and lost that oh so special bond between mother and child, or if I'm just crazy! Probably the latter! Anywho here are some things that I just love about Hudson. Happy 1/2 birthday!
1. Ellie is so smart. Well at least I am impressed. She gets anything and everything she wants and not because mom says it is okay. Grandma Joan likes to say "If there is a will, there is a way." that is surely Ellie's motto. She knows some of her letters, and when we turn the way to go visit Bryce at work she says "daddy work". So smart.
