New family pictures

My friend Chanthoeun came out and took our pictures! My kids were horrible, but Chanthoeun got some great pictures anyway! This is just a small sampling! But they are great and I love them! Visit her blog www.visualblissphoto.blogspot.com

Reading

My kids love to read! These are just a couple of cute pictures of them caught in the act!

Argyle Kids visit, again

my brother Jaren and his wife Natalie's kids came to visit a couple of weeks ago and my kids loved it! The reason the post says again is because apparently I have done this same post another time his kids have come to visit. Allie loves to mother my children she is helping get him a drink and get away from the the slip & slide. The best part about the slip-n-slide was it was a total down pour of rain the whole time and the sun came out almost as soon as they were done! But they loved it!

Jackson Hole

This last week the kids and I went to Jackson Hole with my parents and little brother & his wife! We had a lot of fun! I felt bad though because of my "handi" (previous post) I couldn't do anything so everyone else was watching my kids! We did see these buffalo though and they passed right infron of our car it was pretty crazy and fun!
I though I would add this picture so Jordan & Jessica could remember how much fun we had!

Handi or NOT

As some of you may or may not know I am crippled! I was working on my house a couple weeks ago filling some holes with some spackling. When I decided it would be a good idea to use an extension ladder (I now know that was a bad idea). I put the ladder to the right height tested it a little and started my climb. About two rungs up the ladder starts collapsing and falling as do I. I put my hands down to brace myself and the ladder and myself fall down upon my poor little right thumb. The poor thing never had a chance. I quickly access the damage, a smashed flat thumb, and yell for Bryce. He came out and started running as soon as he saw the damage! We quickly made it to the hospital where there were x-rays, morphine injections, nerve blocks, surgery, 1plate 7 screws, & 2 casts later I'm almost as good as new! In 3 more weeks I have another Dr.'s appointment to determine whether or not I have to keep this thing on any longer! Yay so much fun!

Sick Kids.

As some of you know my kids NEVER sit still. Well they were both running a really high fever on Sunday so I laid them both down on the couch to rest and they stayed there so I had to just snap a picture. I am not sure what was wrong with them but they seem to be better now!

Washington?

I don't know and I am not certain, but when did I move to Seattle where it rains everyday in June?! Seriously what the heck is up with this weather lately? Well at least I got these really cute pictures of Ellie in her new rain gear! She got the boots and umbrella for Christmas and I got the rain jacket in Park city for $3! She ran in and said "mom I need my 'rella, it's raining! Too cute! The other day I had my friend Carli watch my kids and she text me and said "Hudson was walking around play screaming and Ellie told him only mom can scream" I thought that was so funny and just wanted to add it in. Kids say the darndest things.

Girl's Night!

Thanks to my loving husband and my wonderful mother-in-law I was able to spend a weekend away with the Argyle Girls, my mother, sister, and most of my sister-in-laws. We spent the night over in Park City went to dinner at a brewery and shopped all rainy day on Saturday! I am a little sad that I only took one picture while we were there but it is a good one! This is my sister-in-law Natalie taking one last sip of the yummy homemade ROOT beer at the brewery! Thanks for a great weekend everybody!

House update!

I haven't posted pictures of the house in so long because it changes so much everyday! It looks different than this even today but I can't take pictures because it won't stop raining here. The outside is all done and the inside all finished. We are hopefully moving in the beginning of July so I will post more pictures of the finished outside and the finished inside when we are in and settled. Are you happy April!
I know White trash right? We haven't even moved in yet and we already have a car that won't run in the backyard and a couch on the back porch! I am sure our neighbors just love us! Sorry!

Ellie's 3rd birthday!

We had a fun day for Ellie's Birthday it was all about her and she loved every bit of it! I the morning she got some balloons and she was so cute she was sitting and watching her shows with all the balloons framing her face I wanted a picture so bad but my battery was dead a good reminder to get it charged for the rest of the day. We then went to a craft fair and when we got there Ellie said "Is this my Birthday Party?" She was so excited! When we got home my mom had decorate the house with a sign and balloons and Ellie was so happy and excited! Then Ellie and I made her Birthday cake and then Uncle Jordan and Aunt Jessica came over for dinner and present opening! We had homemade mac & cheese for dinner because she said that was her favorite! Her 2 most favorite gifts were probably the tutu Aunt Jessica made for her and the scooter she from Grandpa and Grandma. She rode on the scooter in her tutu until we made her go to bed! It was a good day and fun to be able to spoil her and give her whatever she asked for. When we were having cake and ice cream she had had a cupcake the frosting only of course and she said she wanted another one she I gave it to her. She then took 1 lick of that cupcake and said "I don't like this one, can I have another one. it's my birthday!" Man does she know how to work the system.

80"s Aerobic Coach

We went to the park another day and Hudson decided he could feed himself some yogurt. I don't know if he got any in his mouth but it sure did make for a funny picture and a big mess.

Hudson Put on Ellie's headband the other day I was busting a gut I thought he looked so stinking cute! Doesn't he look like an 80"s aerobic coach. lol

Helping Dad

We had to pick up some stuff for the house the other day(pictures to come soon I promise)! Any way the kids thought it was so much fun to ride on the cart! It was so funny they were pretending to sleep too! Too cute!

Easter

What I am slow?! Yes, I am very slow but at least I did post it right? We had a great Easter the kids found their baskets and they were so excited about all the treats inside especially the yummy cereal! I church was at 10:50 so it was perfect to enjoy the morning the afternoon and evening of Easter! We woke up found all the eggs and our baskets then we got ready for church where we learned all about Jesus and how much he sacrificed for us and then we went down to grandma and grandpa Harris' for dinner and races! It was a blast. I am just sad i didn't get a picture of them in their new Sunday Easter clothes. Duh! ( If Ellie were here she would quickly tell me that is what D says, duh)! One morning my dad and I were joking around with each other and he always says Duh and so that morning I said duh to him and then Ellie repeated and my mom quickly piped up "yeah Ellie that is what D says Duh good job." So Ellie always says that is what D says Duh , whenever I say Duh! Sorry just had to add that funny story! Enjoy!

My little terrors

My little angels/terrors did all this while I was taking a shower. They got into my mom's cupboard, got out the dried onions and hot chocolate and proceeded to dump them both all over the house. As you can see Hudson really enjoyed eating the Hot Chocolate mix. The whole house stunk like onions forever, in fact when vacuuming you can still smell onions. They also left a stain in the playhouse where the Hot chocolate was dumped! I love these cute kids but sometimes they really test my non-existing patients. Oh and this was not the first time they have done this with the hot chocolate just the first time I got it on camera. Little Stinkers, gotta love them.

Hudson's Foot Injury

I know that these aren't great pictures but it was the best I could do! About a month ago we were sitting down eating dinner. All except Ellie because she was running around as usual. Any way Hudson was in his highchair which is one that attaches to a regular bar stool. Well my parents chairs are really heavy and Ellie was trying to push Hudson's chair across the floor which she has done quit a number of times before. Well, this time it got caught on something and it toppled over forward smashing Hudson's poor foot in between the floor and his food tray! That night he was screaming and freaked out whenever any sort of pressure was put on his foot the next day he barely walked at all he crawled for the most part and the next day he had a really bad limp so we took him to get a x-ray. Well $300 later and we have a perfect cracked bone foot! The doctor said as long as he improved everyday he ddin't need a cast! So all is well now but it was a little scary for a while!

My Beard

Ellie was being so funny in the car the other day! She had this gummy bear and if you look really close she has licked it and placed it below her bottom lip and she said "mom look my beard!" I was laughing so hard! I took the picture while I was driving sso no the greatest but still funny!

Silly Kids!

Sometimes my kids are so silly! One morning Bryce showed Hudson how funny it was to sick food on his face and so Hudson couldn't stop sticking food on his face the rest the morning! Ellie got in the shower while I was going potty and decided she needed some conditioner on her dry clean hair. Hudson thought it would be fun to climb into the double doll stroller and Ellie decided it would be great fun to push him around in it. And last of all they both wanted to know what it would be like to live in Barbie's house! So they climbed inside to try it out! Sometimes I wonder why I am sane, oh wait, I'm not!

We have a climber!

Hudson one day decided he could climb and now he climbs on everything! Nothing is safe anymore! One day I was getting Ellie out of the bath and I thought my dad was watching Hudson and we founf him in the bathroom sink with a whole roll of toilet paper! He was having a blast and was soaked from his chest down! At least he was having a good time!

Dress-Up

Ellie loves to play dress-up but she hates to get her picture taken while she is dressed up! She just makes me laugh! There is one of her dressed in my nieces kimono. And in the other one she is dressed in one of my old dance outfits and she looked so cute too bad you can't tell in these pictures! She always wants to do dancing shows it is so cute! Another cute little story is she love the show Super Why and there is one episode where the problem is one of the characters keeps falling when she is trying to twirl and she is upset about it and they learn that she needs to just keep trying and she'll get it. Well now Ellie with everything now says she just can't do it and I tell her to just keep trying and she says "okay, I will." and then she does it and gets so excited it really is precious! I lover her!

No more Beard! WaHoo!

Before

After

My husband went on a strike with the beard forever and I was going crazy! He said it was because it was too cold building the house and his beard kept him warm. But I think it is because he knew how much I hated it and I told him how ugly it was at least once a day. (it seriously grossed me out). But he saved yeah! And doesn't he look at least 10 times better. When he came upstairs from shaving the kids didn't recognize him and Hudson was really scared of him for like a day. We finally got Ellie convinced that it really was her dad and he just didn't have a beard anymore and to this day she still says "daddy have no beard, mommy have no beard, Ellie & Hudson have no beard."

Grandpa Jay Time

Hudson Loves my dad! He gets so darn excited whenever he sees Grandpa and always runs to him and wants to be held. Jay complains but secretly he loves it! This day was particularly cute because my dad was just sitting on the couch watching TV and Hudson just climbed up on the couch and just sat there next to him thinking he was so big! He sat there for like 10 minutes, which is as long as his attention span is! Too cute!

Helping Grandma Joan

Ellie wanted to go outside and help my mom shovel ice off the driveway one day and I told her no, so she decided she would get herself ready and just go out anyway. This is the result! She had "an accident" so she didn't have any pants on, but she put on her own boots and then my puffy vest for her coat and got her shovel out and started helping Grandma. I was laughing so hard. What a fashion statement! I love this girl and all her craziness.

House Update

Well it has been forever since I have updated on the house progress but that is because it still looks the same on the outside. Bryce right now is finishing up a lot of little things for the electrical, plumbing, and HV/AC. All have to been done before we can get an inspection done and then we will be on to insulating and drywall. The one exciting thing is our new door! I LOVE IT! I was really worried about it when I was picking out the stain but I think it turned out perfectly and exactly how I had it pictured in my mind. (which rarely happens because I have a really great imagination, that is a whole other story) Anyway things are coming along nice and slow. If any of you would like a tour of our lovely home you can visit between the hours of 6:00 and 9:30 Mon-Thur and 8:00 am-9:00 pm on Friday and Saturday Bryce will be there and would love to not show you around! But a self guided tour is better anyway.

Christmas

Okay so I lied! Apparently I was so out of it on Christmas I didn't even notice the pictures being taken! Well, here is the evidence and I think Christmas was a hit at out house! Ellie got Dress up stuff and a baby doll and Hudson got cars and blocks! I think Ellie's favorite present is what my parents gave to both the kids, a portable DVD player with two screens that we take in the car! She loves that she can now watch "shows" in her car and not just the "big car" (My parents Denali). Funny kids but gotta love 'em! Merry CHristmas everyone a month late!

Stoner for Christmas!

Not as fun as it may sound! 2 days before Christmas I got Kidney stones and let me just say not fun, not fun at all. My doctor sent me home with some Percocet and said if they don't go away in 24 hours call me! So 24 hours later, Christmas Eve, I'm in intense amounts of pain not to mention the fever chills and hot flashes I call the Dr. back. He says go in for a CT scan and we'll see what is going on! I sit and stew! The Rigby's are building a house and it is Christmas time I don't have money for a CT scan, I'll just take 2 percocet at a time and the stones will go away. (My poor kids had a crazy mother for a few days). Christmas Day: the kids slept in till 8:00, a good thing! We wake up open gifts have breakfast and I am so cold I am trembling and my fingers are purple and my lips were blue! My dad started to worry that I was Septic and said if that happens again I need to go to the ER! So, I start freaking out a bit! My parents left for the annual Harris Christmas party in Layton and I got the kids down for a nap and Bryce heads out to snow blow the massive amounts of snow that fell that day, it took him 3 hours. I start shivering again so I snuggle up close to the fire but I start shaking so hard it starts to get hard for me to breath, then I think I passed out and when I woke up I was so hot and when I tried to move away from the fire my eyes wouldn't focus and I was so dizzie I just fell. At this point I was freaking out and thought I was going to die! I was worried about what to do with my sleeping kids if I had to go to the ER and I was worrried about not even being able to make it to Bryce to tell him how sick I was and then I was worried about calling 911 and how much that was going to cost us, I was freaking out. So I finally make it outside to get Bryce but he didn't see me so I just sat there breathing in the fresh air. I started to feel a little better so I just went back inside to cool down, because i really didn't want to bug anyone on Christmas! So I get feeling a little better and I call my dad to tell them that they better start coming home because I think I am pretty bad and I need to go to the ER and he tells me they are just going to finish up with the party, clean up, and then they'd head home! Oh and he also said don't take any more percocet. "Okay, I just almost die again, in PAIN." I thought. Well, they didn't get home until much later that night because the roads were horrible and although in a lot of pain I didn't die. I woke the next morning and went straight into the doctors office and they ordered me a CT scan, which was pretty awesome and simple and expensive. Well all that showed us was that I had passed one stone and had 3 more to go but they were small enough that I could pass them on my own. So I was sent home with a RX for lortab and a good luck. The lortab wasn't great but at least it didn't make me think I was dying. I the next Monday I passed my last stone! So, for almost a week i suffered and pretty much missedout on all the fun of Christmas, so please forgive me for not getting any pictures or posting for a while. It's been a tough couple of weeks. One positive I couldn't eat that whole week so I lost some weight for Christmas instead of gaining it for once in my life!
FYI: Holidays and I aren't really good friends. On Thanksgiving one year I had to get my appendix out, a few years later I had to have a surgery for the cists on my overies on New Year's, and this year I had the stoners (that is what Bryce calls kidney stones) on Christmas. Maybe I'll just celebrate new holidays so I won't get sick!
